CHAMPAIGN — A semitrailer that overturned Tuesday afternoon shut down the ramp connecting Interstate 57 southbound to I-72 westbound west of Champaign.
Illinois State Police said about 2:30 p.m., a truck driver from Canada heading south on I-57 was on the ramp to I-72 west when his load shifted and the truck overturned, coming to rest partially on the road and partially in the south ditch.
Police did not say how long the ramp was expected to be closed or if the truck driver was injured.
