The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) took to Facebook to highlight an “unsafe load” that was discovered during a recent inspection.

On Monday, November 22, Georgia DPS shared a post detailing the violations discovered during a roadside inspection.

They wrote:

During the inspection, he [MCO3 Bell] discovered the CMV was transporting class 1.4 explosives. The driver had no hazmat endorsement, shipping paper or placards, and unsecured load. Glad we stopped this CMV in Georgia, this unsafe load was headed to Utah.

Class 1.4 explosives present a minor blast hazard. Examples include common fireworks, toy caps, empty primed grenades, and some small arms ammunition.

Officials didn’t provide information on the driver’s identity or where the traffic stop occurred.
