BINGHAMTON 1, HARTFORD 0
The Bearcats used a corner kick in the 19th minute to get on the board early and take a lead they would not relinquish. After a long service from Olivia McKnight landed in the box, Nicole Scudero sent a long header towards the crossbar, past the outreached arms of Hartford goalkeeper Maia Perez.
The Hawks were the aggressors out of the gates, but Binghamton goalkeeper Haylee Poltorak kept the game scoreless after registering a pair of early saves on looks from sophomore Chloe Layne. The forward saw one more attempt in the opening half get turned away from Poltorak.
