Heavy equipment was due on scene at some point on Monday afternoon/evening of incident involving a semi-trailer rig carrying a load of train wheels which shifter on the bed of the trailer.
TxDOT ALERT: A heavy truck load had shifted on US 96 in Center in Shelby County around noon. As of shortly after 3 p.m. the truck and driver along with a TxDOT pickup parked behind the semi, remained on the scene awaiting the arrival of heavy equipment.
Crews have set up traffic control at SH 87 at US 96. Motorists should choose alternate routes until this scene is clear. Motorists should prepare for possible delays and stay alert for large equipment clearing the scene.
