The Ministry of Health believes Ukraine’s health care system will face a peak load in November.

That’s according to Deputy Minister of Health, Chief State Sanitary Doctor Ihor Kuzin, who spoke with RBC-Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

"Previously, we actually thought that the peak load on the health care system will be seen in November-December this year. Now we see that according to almost all forecasts, such peak loads may come earlier. It is difficult to say how early because the situation is unfolding quite quickly. What we see for sure is that peak loads will definitely come in November. But whether they will affect October or be delayed until December is still difficult to say," Kuzin said.

The official recalled that the crisis could be prevented if the majority of Ukrainians get their COVID-19 jabs.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on September 26, Ukraine recorded 3,007 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and 94 corona-related fatalities. Throughout the entire pandemic period, 2,395,404 people contracted the virus in Ukraine, of whom 2,245,144 recovered and 55,720 died.
