On Saturday, Jeff Capel and his staff hosted multiple prospects on unofficial visits, including a very talented Canadian underclassman named Jacob Theodosiou.

Theodosiou is a native of Ontario, Canada, and now plays for Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio, as well as Wildcats Select 3SSB, an AAU program based in the Western PA/Ohio region. The 6-foot-4, 175-pound prospect is a true combo guard, and says he will play both the one and the two in college.

“My shooting ability, for sure, is my best strength,” Theodosiou told Pittsburgh Sports Now. “Just being able to have a high IQ and not only being able to score but being able to facilitate as well and find the open man.”

The sophomore holds offers from South Carolina, lehiPitt started showing interest in him back in the early spring when the staff watched him play at Blair Academy in the live period. Now, a few months later, he made sure to visit Pitt first out of all the schools looking at him.

“It was really beautiful,” he said about Pitt. “It really blew me away. The campus was beautiful. I liked the way we got to watch practice. I liked Coach Capel’s coaching style: the way he utilizes his shooters, the way he keeps everyone positive, and all of that kind of stuff. Overall, it was just a beautiful campus and I really enjoyed the visit.”

Theodosiou went on the visit with one of his coaches, along with four other prospects, Malachi Palmer, James Moore, Trey Autry, and Solomon Ball.

“We went to the football game for the first half,” he continued. “We were with the team and they didn’t want to stay the whole game because it was a blowout. We did that, we got a tour of the Petersen Events Center, we did our photo shoot, watched practice, and then we had a special dinner in the gym.”

Theodosiou mentioned that assistant coach Tim O’Toole led the visit, showing the recruits around and taking them to see practice firsthand.

“TOT led the visit,” he said. “He is funny, he’s a real good guy. I talked to Coach Capel too and he is going to come out to my school workouts and games this year, then they will go from there with offering and that kind of stuff.”

On September 11, he will be visiting West Virginia, on September 18, he will be at Ohio, and then on Oct. 2 he will be at Hoosier Hysteria at Indiana. Theodosiou also included that he may come back to visit Pitt for the Clemson football game, as well as a basketball game during this season.
