For engineers designing for load and bearing applications and drive systems, norelem’s range of standardised rolling bearings is highly wear-resistant, easy to assemble & ensure low friction.
The norelem product range of rolling bearings come in a variety of dimensions and styles, including deep groove and angular contact bearings, self-aligning bearings, cylindrical and tapered roller bearings, as well as axial ball bearings. This range can be used in several applications, such as automotive, robotics and mechanical and plant engineering.
These rolling bearings allow for different load types and rotational speeds, as well as varying temperature, vibration, lubrication and maintenance requirements.
Due to their low-frictional torques, the norelem range of rolling bearings works without significant wear, even at lower speeds resulting in low heat generation. The range also includes grease-lubricated sealed variations that are maintenance-free during their entire expected life.
Marcus Schneck, CEO of norelem, said: “Engineers need to consider frictionless solutions when designing energy-efficient drive systems, and a critical component is the use of rolling bearings. Friction caused by the motion of rolling elements and contact between seals can compromise drive efficiency.
“Low-frictional torque and grease-lubricated sealed bearings are ideal for these applications. With our wide range of varieties and dimensions, engineers can select the exact bearing to meet their needs.”
norelem’s range of rolling bears comply with all applicable DIN standards and are made of high-quality, fully hardened 100Cr6 chrome steel. For each bearing, the cage is made from either sheet steel, polyamide or laminated fabric, dependent on the type and version.
Deep groove ball bearings are available in a single row configuration in the 2Z and 2RSR versions. The 2Z is sealed with two-sided non-contact labyrinth seals and the 2RSR is sealed with two-sided contacting lip-seals. The range accepts high radial and axial loads in both directions and comes with internal diameters of 3 to 50mm.
Open single-row angular contact ball bearings by norelem are not only suitable for high speeds but also suitable for high radial and axial loads as well. However, this type of bearing only accepts axial forces in one direction against the shoulder guide. Spherical roller bearings from norelem with a cylindrical hole, however, permit the highest radial and axial loads in both directions. These bearings also compensate for angular errors.
Cylindrical roller bearings with a cage from norelem are the ideal choice for high radial loads and speeds. These bearings are not self-arresting, which means the bearing parts can be mounted separately. Single-row tapered roller bearings are designed for high radial and axial loads. However, they only permit axial loads in one direction. Axial ball bearings can handle high axial loads from one direction but may not be loaded radially.
Engineers can find the components in norelem’s definitive catalogue, THE BIG GREEN BOOK. Datasheets and CAD drawings are available online and can be ordered directly through norelem’s webshop.
