Quip fire.
A video has emerged showing Spider-Man: Miles Morales loading in just seven seconds on a PlayStation 5.
That's from pressing play on the PS5 home screen to the game's main menu popping up. From there, loading a save and getting back into the game itself takes just under two seconds.
The origin of the low quality video is unclear, although it was posted to reddit over the weekend and has already seen nearly 4m views on Imgur. EDIT: It looks like it's Norwegian.
Sony has spent the weekend trying to scrub the video, which breaks a PS5 review embargo currently in place, from the internet. But of course this is a thankless task, and it remains online on YouTube and elsewhere.
Sony has marketed the PS5 as having super fast loading times powered by its high-bandwidth SSD. Earlier this month, Sony showed off the PS5 user interface, but it has yet to properly show how fast games load on the machine.
We have PS5 consoles in hand (you can see me wave one about in the Eurogamer next-gen news cast, below) and will be able to offer more soon.
