BOULDER--Phillip Lindsay (Denver) escaped for a 55-yard touchdown, jump-starting the Denver offense in a huge comeback, Isaiah Oliver (Atlanta) got his first NFL sack and Arlington Hambright (Chicago) made his NFL debut to highlight Week 8 of #NFLBuffs.

Lindsay Flashes Back To College Days On Touchdown Run
Lindsay totaled 83 rushing yards on Sunday in a last second, 31-30, win against the Los Angeles Charges. Lindsay got his yards on only six carries for an average of 13.8-yards a touch. The Aurora, Colo. native also caught one pass out of the backfield for three yards.

The bulk of his 83-yards came on a 55-yard touchdown run in the third quarter as the Broncos trailed 24-3. The run helped propel a 21-point comeback for the 3-5 Broncos.

Lindsay's 55-yard touchdown scamper let Buff fans reminisce on the running back's time in Boulder which included many explosive plays similar to Sunday's. In similar fashion, Lindsay took a touchdown 75-yards to the house in 2016 to help lead the No. 17 Buffs to a 40-16 win against Arizona State.

Oliver Records First Sack of His Career
Oliver started the seventh game of his season which included 46 plays on defense and five on special teams in a 25-17 win over Carolina on Thursday Night Football. Oliver recorded three tackles in the ballgame, one of which was his first career sack for a loss of 12 yards. That sack is his first since high school as the cornerback didn't record one as a Buff.

Hambright Makes NFL Debut
Hambright was active for the first time in his NFL career and saw the field for the first time against New Orleans.

Buffs Around The League
Chidobe Awuzie
(Dallas) was inactive for Sunday Night Football for the Cowboys. Awuzie was hoping to play for the first time since Week 2 but his injury (hamstring) didn't progress as desired leading up to the game.

David Bakhtiari (Green Bay) missed his second game in a row (chest) as the Packers fell 28-22 to Minnesota.

Tony Brown (Washington) was not in action in Week 8 with a scheduled bye.

Ken Crawley (New Orleans) was inactive for the second straight week for the Saints. The cornerback was put on the league's Covid-19 list due to contact tracing. He was taken off of the list last week but was absent on Sunday (coach's decision).

Mason Crosby didn't practice (calf/back) on Wednesday or Thursday for the Packers but was ready to go on Sunday to extend his streak of consecutive games played to 215. The Packers all-time leading scorer had a quiet day kicking in windy conditions. Neither team attempted a field goal in the contest but Crosby did connect on both of his extra points in the loss.

Hambright (Chicago) was active for the first time in his NFL career. He played in five snaps on special teams in a 26-23 loss to New Orleans.  He became the 14th former Buff to see the field in an NFL game this season.

Lindsay (Denver) ran for 83-yards against the Chargers, including a 55-yard touchdown burst that started a thrilling Broncos comeback.

Daniel Munyer (Tennessee) was inactive in Week 8 with a hand injury.

Oliver (Atlanta) recorded his first career sack on Thursday Night Football in a 25-17 victory over Carolina.

Laviska Shenault Jr. (Jacksonville) was not in action in Week 8 as the Jaguars had their scheduled bye.

Jimmy Smith (Baltimore) played in 79% of the Ravens snaps on defense despite not starting the game. He had three combined tackles after being limited in practice with an injury leading up to Sunday.

Davion Taylor (Philadelphia) played in 14 special teams snaps in a 23-9 win over Dallas on Sunday Night Football.

Tedric Thompson (Kansas City) came off the bench to play three snaps on defense and six on special teams where he recorded a tackle. The Chiefs beat the New York Jets, 35-9.

Ahkello Witherspoon (San Francisco) played in 24 special teams plays in a 37-27 loss to Seattle.

Practice Squad
Delrick Abrams Jr.
(Atlanta), Steven Montez (Washington), and Juwann Winfree (Green Bay) are all on their respective team's practice squads.

Injured Reserve
Kabion Ento (Green Bay) is on IR after suffering a broken foot in August.

Opt-Outs
Nate Solder (New York Giants) and Josh Tupou (Cincinnati) both opted out of the 2020 NFL season.
