A truck hauling heavy equipment across a bridge was too much for the bridge to handle.
The bridge, Tittle Bridge, is in located in Nova Scotia and has a max weight of 91,000 pounds. As the truck was crossing the bridge, one of the trusses gave out, causing the bridge to collapse.
The truck driver survived the plunge into the river but was taken to a hospital for observation.
The bridge was scheduled to be replaced this summer.
Video of the Tittle Bridge collapse near Canso, N.S., has been sent to Global News. It is pretty shocking. #novascotia
