TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama football team took part in its first scrimmage of the fall on Saturday afternoon at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The scrimmage lasted roughly 143 plays and just over two hours on a warm Saturday afternoon.

“Today’s scrimmage brought a lot of what we expected for the eighth practice of the year, and only third practice we have had in pads. It was a good opportunity to get players out on the field, and see what they know and see how they can sustain focus at a competitive level. I think everybody has to self-assess and that is what the competitive situation gives everybody an opportunity to do.”
