Members of the 132nd California Army National Guard load a vehicle with food during Second Harvest Food Bank’s weekly food distribution on Friday at a parking lot at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

More than 600 families received 75 lbs. of groceries each, including produce, dairy, frozen food, dry goods and, this week, melons.

Second Harvest alternates the distributions each week between the parking lot in Santa Cruz and the County Fairgrounds in Watsonville.
