Deontay Wilder came out recently with a barrage of accusations on the current WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury.
The former heavyweight champion rained down on Fury and demanded his rematch. Wilder stated that he was offered more money to take on Anthony Joshua. However, he stepped up to his words and accepted the rematch against Fury. Wilder asked Fury to do the same.
Recently, Fury’s UK co-promoter Frank Warren appeared on iFL TV and shared his thoughts on Wilder’s recent accusations.
“It just doesn’t happen. It’s something out of a bloody, you know, no horseshoe in the glove. It’s just garbage, it’s just stupid talk. We spend, we are actually spending a lot of time talking about a load of rubbish. It’s just garbage, it’s ridiculous,” Warren said.
Wilder claimed that Fury’s gap in his gloves gave him a significant advantage. He further stated — in the two-minute-long video — that Fury added egg-weights which ultimately caused a dent in his skull.
Wilder did not stop there. He accused his trainer of spiking his water and rained down on the referee for calling the fight.
Deontay Wilder demands a trilogy bout against Tyson Fury
Earlier, everything pointed at a potential Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder trilogy bout. However, Fury rubbished any such possibility after he stated that the contract promising the trilogy bout has expired. Moreover, boxing promoter Eddie Hearn stated that Wilder may not get a title shot until 2022.
🤴🏿Fury Be A Man 🖕🏿@Tyson_Fury it is time for you to be a man and honor your agreement.
What is this bullshit of you fighting Carlos Takam instead of me, you got to be kidding… pic.twitter.com/qeo47CfHi4— Deontay Wilder (@BronzeBomber) October 31, 2020
Needless to say, this did not go well with Wilder, who rained down on the WBC champion with further accusations in a series of tweets.
“If anyone should scream, it was Tyson for the first time. He was robbed in California. Absolutely robbed. Terrible decision. But you know what Tyson did about that, he was a man.
“He never said a word. Never made one complaint about it. Just got on with it and put the wrong right in the second fight by doing an absolute job on Deontay. That’s what happened. Mark Breland saved him from further punishment,” Warren concluded.
Wilder and Fury shared the boxing ring on two occasions. While their first outing ended in a controversial draw, Fury triumphed over “The Bronze Bomber” the second time around.
Fury became the first boxer to hand Wilder a loss inside the ring as he picked up a seventh-round stoppage win over the former champion after Wilder’s trainer Mark Breland threw in the towel.
