Firefighters extinguish flaming load of recyclables - Mercer Island Reporter

boonoor.blogspot.com

A Recology recycling truck called the Mercer Island Fire Department for emergency assistance on the morning of July 23 after the vehicle’s load caught fire. Fire crews coordinated with the driver to safely unload the materials onto the ground so they could extinguish the fire. This process occurred so the Recology truck didn’t catch fire and potentially spill fuel and burning toxic materials. A professional cleanup crew was soon on the scene.
