Mike Evans (+900)
Evans is the public’s favorite so far and commands 21 percent of the handle and 19 percent of the handle on first touchdown scorer wagers. He caught two touchdown passes the last time he faced the Chiefs and has tallied the third-most red zone receiving touchdowns (9) in the NFL during the regular season. If Tom Brady needs someone to come down with a 50-50 ball deep in enemy territory, Evans is his man.
Travis Kelce (+650)
Kelce is favored alongside Tyreek Hill. Patrick Mahomes’ favorite weapons combined for 28 touchdowns during the regular season, and 11 of them were scored by Kelce. The star tight end is only second to Evans in handle percentage (15) and percentage of total bets (13). He ranked third in red-zone targets (20) and was even with Evans in red zone touchdown catches (9) during the regular season. Kelce is the model of consistency and has scored in eight of his last 10 games.
Leonard Fournette (+1050)
Fournette has 11 percent of the handle and 13 percent of the total bets. The former Jacksonville Jaguars back has assumed lead-back duties since Ronald Jones suffered a quad injury ahead of Tampa Bay’s Wild Card Round matchup against the Washington Football Team. Fournette has been able to showcase plenty of versatility and has tallied two rushing scores and a receiving score through three playoff games with the Bucs. It wouldn’t be surprising if his number got called in a goal-line situation early on.
Patrick Mahomes (+1800)
Mahomes is a bit of a long shot but scored the first touchdown in Super Bowl 54 with a rushing score when his odds were +2000. The reigning Super Bowl MVP only has three rushing scores this season but could benefit from his plethora of elite skill players spreading the opposition thin and managed to squeak into the end zone again. If you’re going to reach on any player, I’d suggest betting on Mahomes.
Our pick: Travis Kelce
Kelce’s been a touchdown machine lately and his involvement shouldn't be underestimated. He’s tallied more than 100 receiving yards and a score in three of his last five games. He’s also been targeted at least 10 times in six straight contests. Some players in this game could fade, but it’s unlikely that Kelce will. He hasn’t been held under seven receptions in a game since October.
